Company Profile
CYM Consulting Ltd is a provider of IT and business consultancy. We focus on web based development and provide business hosting and broadband services.
Our main client base are SMEs and public organisations within the UK that need effective technical solutions to make their organisation more efficient and successful. The bulk of our work at the moment is focused on Internet based developments involving web and email.
We have a very easy to use and cost effective web publishing solution, WebCYM, which allows organisations to manage their web content in real time, without the need to employ specialist resources. We help our clients to get the most out of their expenditure on a web presence and help develop business processes with our clients to automate the creation of new web content. Every organisation needs to make the best use of web and email services, as these can be low cost communication solutions once up and running.
History
CYM consulting Ltd (CYMC) was born in 2001 as part of a reorganisation of McNeill Associates which had been running as an IT consultancy operation since 1989.
CYMC had the task of continuing the consultancy and software development arm of the group and this quickly turned into a focus for web based developments which has continued to this day.
WebCYM was developed as a configurable web publishing engine that enabled very rapid initial development of web sites and the easy ability to manage and continue the development of those sites. This product is suitable for any size of organisation but is of particular benefit to smaller companies who would not normally be able to afford the development of a sophisticated content management system.
Other web based products that have also been developed are:
CYMSIS - A Simple Invoicing System that can be configured for a variety of invoicing and invoice management situations. Being web based the system can be used in a wide geographic and flexible manner.
FilingOnTheWeb - A powerful document archival system as an alternative to microfiche. Documents are stored in PDF format and being web based, can be viewed and downloaded wherever there is access to the world wide wed.
Our involvement with organisations and communities often involves driving a degree of organisational change to maximise the usefulness of our technical developments. We are therefore solution providers rather than just system providers.
